Ketcham's "Yot Pot" lobster trap has been part of our business for the past 35 seasons and is designed specifically for your family fishing fun. At about twenty pounds your lobster pot is light weight, easy to handle, and the compact size stows well. The additional ballast and reinforcement required by the big commercial lobster operations have been removed to save you money and work. The "guts" of your lobster trap, however, are the same as we put in our commercial lobster pots, putting more "Keepas" on your table. Enjoy this season's lobstering with gear designed and refined just for your recreational enjoyment. Ketcham Traps have been time tested in the oceans since 1975.

You are also more than welcome save more and pick up your Yot Pot at our Historic New Bedford trap mill. We abut Exit 14 on I-195 eastbound (about half way between Providence and Cape Cod, an hour south of Boston) for easy on and off. Our hours are 8-5 M-F and for your convenience in the spring and summer 9-12 on Saturdays . Need Directions and maps ?

Please check with your local authorities as it is your final responsibility to be in compliance. We will do our best to accommodate any special needs you may have

Your Yot Pot will come gift boxed and arrives ready to fish. Click the thumbnail on the left to see our shipping box and some of the optional goodies you can purchase.
If you are a new lobsterman you may need some of this gear, if you're an old salt you may need to re-stock the stuff aboard. We'll send the extras along to packed right in your Yot Pot box saving you the shipping on a later separate order. If you can't find what you want in the online store contact us and we'll get you hooked up.

We are also testing a packaged bait product for you that looks pretty good right now, when we are satisfied we'll have that available for your family fun too.
